Back in Baton Rouge

Giabella and I made it back to Baton Rouge to be with Jason!  The flights back did not go as smoothly as they have in the past, but there wasn't any screaming, so I am grateful for that.  As Giabella is getting more and more alert, it may be more difficult to travel for a little while.

But here are a few more photos from our trip to Madison...

require Gbaby to be bundled up.  This is a picture from my

Chillin' in the cold

This past week in Madison was quite cold, at least much colder than Giabella and I have been used to these past few months.  Despite the cold, we went on a few walks, even one in the snow.  Otherwise, we have just been hanging out with family and friends, trying to enjoy our last week in Madison.

Aunt J came to visit from Chicago and we went bowling, Gia was a great spectator.  On Sunday, we decided to have Giabella try her first food, Avocados.  As expected, the majority of the avocado was pushed around her tray, but I like to believe she actual ate a little of it.  After she was done, Bauer was very helpful in cleaning up.

Here are a few pictures of Giabella hanging out at home in Baton Rouge.  It has been pretty warm, so she has been spending some time in just her diaper!

Giabella and I flew back to Madison on Wednesday.  Both flights were practically empty so we had lots of space which was nice.  Giabella spent a little time in her own seat.  Once we got into town, we met Aunt Jess for lunch and Giabella enjoyed sitting at the table in her own seat.

The next day Giabella and I made our way downtown to visit Jim, Katie, Ruby, Nala and their new addition, Reese.  He is quite the cutie, Giabella had her eye on him.

On Saturday morning, Jess P and Maggie were driving through Madison, so Giabella and I met Jess P, Jess B, Maggie and Maggie's Mom for breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  Later that day, Cj and Nixon came to visit in Madison.  Now that Giabella is more alert, they interact a little more, but Gbaby mostly just sat there and played with her toys while Nixon crawled and climbed all over the place.  Cj and Nixon spent the night, making it Giabella and Nixon's second sleep over.  Two little party animals.  When they went to bed, Cj, Katie and I went out to get a bite to eat.  A small break from the babies, but not too late because we were all ready for some sleep.
