Two Months Old!

Two months seems like such a short amount of time, yet we feel like she has been a part of our lives much longer than that.  The last week has been full of new experiences, especially for Jason and I.  She has been very fussy and to the point of screaming her lungs out at times.  But we try to remember the happy times...Jason had off most of Friday and all Saturday because they had a bye, so it was amazing having him around to hang with G.  Aunt J came to visit over the weekend, it was great seeing her and she was a huge help, especially with how fussy Gbell was.  Here are some photos of the good times.

Giabella had an amazing 2 month Birthday.  She was the happiest and most playful that I have ever seen her.  I was a very excited mother.

Aunt Jess wanted Gbell to try out her swimsuit they bought her, so we put it on and brought her to the pool. I put her feet in the pool for a second but she was not happy because it was too cold.   So we sat in the shade and took a few pictures.

So, I am getting worse at taking pictures.  It is a lot easier to document everything when we have visitors, but when it is just Giabella and I, I am either sleeping or trying to get things done every time she sleeps.  So sorry for the poor documentation!

Katie came to visit last weekend.  She is due in December and had the opportunity to get some extra practice in taking care of Giabella.  She did a better job than me of calming her down when she was fussy! Giabella, Katie and I went to the second half of Jason’s game, but of course I forgot to get pictures of Giabella’s first football game (first of many!).  We did get a picture of Katie with Giabella right when she got here and another picture of her rocking Giabella.  When Katie would hold Gbell, sometimes Baby Boy Leonhard would kick her.  We couldn’t tell if it was a children’s love kick or a “get away, that’s my Mom” kick.  It was great to hang out with Katie and amazing to have help with Giabella and company during the day!

She likes those arms up...I think she is always thinking "Touchdown"

On Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch in Hammond with Laura, Robbie and Chloe.  Laura’s husband, Jorge, coaches with Jason and Robbie, 8, and Chloe, 2, are their children.  I had everything ready to put her in her front carrier and stroll around the pumpkin patch.  But when we got there, it was in the low 90’s and extremely sunny.  It was way to hot to put her on my body and I didn’t want to put a hat on her head, so I just put her in the car seat and put the muslin blanket over the top.  That way she could get some air but be out of the sun.  But unfortunately it made it miserable for me.  The car seat is heavy and awkward to carry around and she slept the entire time.  I know she is too young to enjoy the pumpkin patch, but I was hoping I could at least get her be awake for a short while.  We did get one picture with the pumpkins and then a picture of her sleeping with Chloe checking in on her.

Until next time...who knows when that will be.  Aunt J (Jess Palermo) comes to visit Thursday through Monday, and then I will be blessed with visitors until November 13th.  It will be very exciting to have friendly faces around.  Gbell and I have been going to a work out class on Tuesday and La Leche meetings, but it is nice to be with the people we love.

Growing and growing...Giabella this time

Today is the first time I noticed how much Giabella is growing!  Some of her newborn clothes don't fit anymore, her newborn diapers are getting tight, and she now fits into her X-small cloth diapers!  Here is a picture from 3 weeks and one from today, 6 weeks.

We had a great time in Madison getting to meet everyone for the first time.  Right before we left to come back, Jennie, Adrik and Annika stopped by to say hello.  Here are some pictures from our get together.

Nonnie came to visit over the past weekend.  It was great spending time with Nonnie and for Giabella to meet her!  Here are some pictures from the past week.
